Carol Chumney successfully represented an international corporation in a 22 million dollar bid for a radio communications system for the city of Memphis. Representation included the initial bid process with the City and Memphis City Council, and also handling the hearing for the Client before the Mayor of Memphis when the losing bidder appealed.
Apartment complex owner sued Client, a distributor, and several other defendants for Ten Million Dollars claiming breach of contract, negligent manufacture and design, distribution and sale, storage and handling and construction, breach of express and implied warranties, failure to warn and properly instruct, mispresentations, and violation of the Tennessee Products Liability Act, among other things. After filing a Motion to Dismiss or for Summary Judgment, the owner voluntarily nonsuited its case against Client.
